YOUNG PROMISING TALENTS FROM THE WORLD OF ARTS & MEDIA

An ongoing series of Fashion / Beauty portraits, featuring non-professional models. 

This series took off in 2023, after I had visited an outdoor second-hand clothing swap at Toekomstmuziek in Amsterdam. While I was there to witness and take photos of a live concert by neo-psychedelic rock band Early Orange, I also approached visitors and asked them if I could take their portrait.

This resulted in sharing contact information and realising a few Portrait / Fashion / Beauty photoshoots several weeks later (Logi, Linh Chi and Loredana).
Since then I managed to create an ever-expanding collection of photoshoots with models in their early, mid and late twenties.

During an early 2025 workation in France, the opportunity presented itself to be working with my youngest model so far: eleven-years-young Lily-Rose.

I like working with these models who, mostly, have no or little experience, and lack the manierisms and habits that seasoned professional models may have adapted from their daily fashion photoshoots. It is this raw, spontaneous approach to modelling that adds a bit of magic and / or vulnerability to their appearance in the photos.
