SURREALISTIC CITY & LANDSCAPE

A series showing the world through an outrageously saturated lens.

The submissions for art magazines on this page contain photos produced in 2022-2024, while travelling in Europe. You will see glimpses of Amsterdam, Bergerac, Berlin, Paris, Porto, and the far eastern rural area of Germany.

While these cities and landscapes are each other’s opposites in many regards, they are united in their ability of providing a space where individuals can work, relax, interact with their surroundings — and take photographs.

As a visual artist, I have always been interested in manipulating (escaping?) reality: deforming shapes, saturating colours, tilting perspectives, changing meanings.

Surrealistic Landscape series submitted to ArtDoc Magazine in 2025, for Patterns of Stillness’, part of The Meditative Lens exhibition. The upper photo was selected by the curators to be included. Photos taken in eastern Germany, June 2023.

Surrealistic City & Landscape series submitted to and published in Docu Magazine Vol 1 Issue 733 in 2024.
The upper photo was taken in Berlin, June 2023. The other photos in order of appearance: Amsterdam, Paris, Barcelona, Berlin. Landscape photos all taken in Bergerac, except the grain field taken in eastern Germany.
